socom is for race only, not for extreme freeride. uzzi and vp-free are very close and both are excellent. i ride on uzzi, my husband does on vpfree. take into account, uzzi is much shorter and a little bit better for droping, and vpfree is longer and a little bit more stable on the trail.. you will find a lot of discussions if search for "uzzi and vpfree". great frames.. good luck
